Zoo Mobile Application

The zoo is a venue that combines fun with awareness (education) for people of all ages.
A roaring lion or a humorous monkey bouncing around might pique a child's curiosity. Perhaps an adult who wants to learn more about animal conservation or simply spend time with family and friends. Nonetheless, there is a lot of competition at that time.


Not only must we compete for attention before receiving any visitors, but we must also provide something that people believe is worthwhile of their time and money.
This is possible through innovation. Technology is an essential component of the more forward-thinking attraction brands.

Attractions can provide a truly immersive, connected experience by smoothly merging digital with the real experience. It can help you attain this new gold standard of customer care while engaging with new demographics of customers if done right.
So, should we create a mobile app or a website to improve the customer/visitor experience?
The answer is simple - a mobile app. We are not only interested in creating an experience for guests while they are planning their vacations, but also in providing a helpful experience while they are at the zoo.

Know your Visitors

We decided to conduct an online survey using a questionnaire and Zoom calls (due to Covid 19 restrictions) with as many people as possible, primarily my friends and relatives of various ages.

This allows us to better understand their:

1. Main reasons for visiting a zoo

2. Positive experiences
3. Features/facilities that could improve their experiences... and so on.

User Feedback

"Zoo website with basic information with the knowledge and activities in the zoo can help visitors plan their day at the zoo. A map to help us locate the various animals and facilities available inside the zoo. Detailed Information on animals on the webpage will be very helpful."

“Also find all the detailed information about them and also a button showing "contribute something for me?" So people would definitely contribute."

"'Have a map of the zoo on my phone, have QR codes next to each animal exhibit (to learn more about that particular animal, etc), make zoo payment digitally.”

'"maybe if zoos can do some online videos on animals in the zoo, live streams of growing animals, etc"

"If there are digital guides which I can use on my phone when I am near the animal cages to see information about animals on my phone, to learn about their species"
